AASMIC Conferences

The next major AASMIC conference will be held in Melbourne from the 18th to 20th of February 2007.

The conference will cover materials, especially new advanced materials and technologies that support sustainability in the building industry and will be aimed at the entire supply chain and in particular end-users.

The conference will provide an opportunity for both the Materials Engineering Research and Development fraternity to meet with the Architects, Builders and End-users of the products that are currently being developed. It will also facilitate feedback from the users of new materials about some of the difficulties in take up and working with them.

The conference will raise the profile of materials and identify the crucial areas for product, tool and policy development, as well as move towards setting a national action agenda for the developmnet and use of more Sustainable Materials in Construction.
