Sustainability as a driver for innovation

The attached article explores the links between the sustainability imperitive and drivers of innovation. Written by Dr. James Moody.

In 2000 Moody was the Young Queenslander of the Year, as well as the Young Professional Engineer of the Year. In 2001, he was the Young Australian of the Year in the Science and Technology section. Moody is co-chair of the Youth Advisory Council to the United Nations Environment Programme and was a member of the Science and Technology delegation to the UN World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg in 2002.

James Moody is currently the CEO of Space and Environment Technologies, an engineering and investment firm. In this role he undertakes work with major engineering companies and the spatial information sector, focussing on areas of interoperability and data use for environmental outcomes. In addition, James is currently a research project associate for RMIT University, developing a research program around the linkages between sustainability and innovation at the firm and national level.
